What is the UCAD process?UCAD stands for: Understand – Define what you want and why. Create – Develop a personalised plan to achieve it. Achieve – Execute the plan with accountability. Define – Cement your success and long-term habits. This process ensures structured progress, helping clients stay motivated, committed, and results-focused by being involved in the creation of their journey.

Our approach is based on: Expert-planned programmes designed around strength, mobility, and performance. The UCAD system, ensuring structured progress. A strong focus on injury prevention and rehabilitation supplemented and supported through in-house physiotherapy. No gimmicks or fad workouts - just real, measurable results and goal based work.

Transformation doesn’t always mean dramatic physical change - it’s about developing stronger movement patterns, better habits, and a more resilient mindset to achieve your fitness goals. However ultimately it is up to you to work hard to achieve your goals, we are there to help, guide and motivate you.

Is Define Coaching a franchise?No, Define Coaching is an independent fitness facility built on a unique coaching philosophy. Our methods, UCAD system, and structured approach set us apart from traditional fitness franchises.

How often should I train?Training frequency depends on your goals, abilities and physicality, but we typically recommend: 2-4 sessions per week for general fitness and people looking to stay generally active 3-5 sessions per week for those trying to improve beyond just general fitness 4-6 sessions per week for athletes or performance-driven clients. Recovery and mobility work between sessions to prevent injury. Our coaches will create a plan that suits your needs and schedule.

How long are the training sessions or classes?PT, HF, Classes all typically last 45-60 minutes, depending on the programme and workout intensity. Personalised training programmes will be based on activities, your schedule and goals so may be shorter or longer.

Does everyone get programmes?No, we offer the facility and the environment as open gym for the basic memberships, and different memberships include different services - check them all out at our Plans & Pricing page to see what is included in each.

Which programme is right for me?Define Coaching offers different training options, including: Performance Coaching (for athletes & individuals looking to enhance strength, agility, and endurance). Rehabilitation & Injury Management (for those recovering from injury or looking to improve movement). General Strength & Fitness (for everyday functional movement and personal health). Our team will assess your goals and recommend the best programme for you. Our open gym also has programme cards if you just want to come to the open gym and try a different workout from our pre-built selection.

Are the programmes built for me or generic?If you have purchased a membership or service that is programme based - Athlete development or personal training, then the programme/training is structured based on your specific goals. Programmes may include: • Strength & conditioning work • Functional movement training • Mobility & flexibility sessions • Sport-specific training • Nutrition & recovery guidance All members are guided through each stage of training by experienced coaches. In our open gym setup, we also haves programme cards if you just want to come to the facilityand try a different workout from our pre-built selection.

Do you offer workout and nutrition plans?Yes! Define Coaching provides these based on the membership plan you choose.

Do you provide personal training?Yes! Define Coaching offers 1-on-1 personal training for those who prefer individualised coaching. Our trainers work with you to develop customised plans based on your goals, fitness level, and movement needs.

Whats the difference between Personal Training & Hyper focus trainingAlthough similar, there are key differences between the 2. Personal training - PT is always 1-1 training and will be coach lead for every session. This takes the responsibility away from you thinking up a plan and executing. This is great if you need directed and consistent support or motivation. PT can be very technical based if required or the motivator to your to hold yourself accountable to complete the workout. Hyper focused training is a training system where a plan will be created with the client and the coach, but the client will be responsibile for completing the sessions each week. The coach will be at 1 session per week to assess and direct technique, focus or give general support and feedback on progress. Hyperfocus allows for accountability of the individual with measured and guided spport for their ultimate goal.

Will a Define Coaching membership help me improve?Absolutely that's our goal. Whether your goal is strength, endurance, injury recovery, athletic performance or something else, our structured training and expert guidance will give you the ability to achieve consistent progress - however ultimately it is up to you to work hard to achieve your goals, we are there to help, guide and motivate you.

What if I’m sick or can’t make a session? How do cancellations work?Due to time commitments of staff we ask that you give at least 1 hours notice of cancellation so that staff can rearrange any timings they have. If less than 1 hour is given then the class/course/therapy will be chargeable or deducted from your allowance (membership plan dependant)
